i report leechers when i see them, even though its "futile" there is the off-chance that others will do the same and that person actually gets a ban.
Personally when doing JQ, i just do my own thing, and kick the shit out of the Suxons and get my 3-4k kurz. whether or not people are leeching doesnt effect me because with the build i use im just capping constantly anyways.
And im counting on the suxons to have more leachers than me, so in a way it works out to my favor
but yeah f*$k leachers!!!!

What's the use? If I see one other person reporting, I report as well the moment I get a chance. However, there are times where you don't have that opportunity to. If you're fighting/healing, you're not going to report until you're dead.
I've found that it's almost worthless to try. I'm almost 90% sure that A-Net knows who the leechers are. I don't know about anyone else here but I've always noticed that many of the human leechers, not bots, are often from the same guild and often have the same profession, not going to mention any names. However, if I can notice something like that, I'm sure A-Net can see it too.

Is, "must not be afk and make some effort to contribute to the team, no matter how poorly" really that arbitrary a requirement? It's really rather objective.

On that note, it's easy enough to write a macro that c-spaces and uses skills every now and then. You can leech less noticeably and still be contributing as much as the average PUG player.

Mostly because I want to keep playing, and getting dishonorable on myself for reporting means I can't do that. So, nobody reports... people do still happily leech all day/everyday for stupid title that doesn't mean anything more than "Brotha too bad to get survivor, yet still wants GWAMM!".

yeah, too many people, like plenty who posted here, just don't care so those people who do report from time to time(like me) just get dishonourable points because the shitters don't give a damn...
so why punish yourself by reporting?

at what quantity do you draw the line between playing to less than the best of your ability because JQ is not srs bsns and leeching? i find the objective means to do this very helpful because sometimes leechers can make it look like they're just playing poorly while still doing nothing for the team and while afk. for the record, in case you want to compare our methods, i draw the line at 7.

I report when I'm not healing/killing/stalking someone. Otherwise if no one else is reporting, I'm not bothering. 1 or 2 leechers doesn't ruin a whole game for me.

I just wish they would hire a temp to play the infested sections of the game. Record any bots and ban those accounts permanently. Then to mark each account with a warning should they leech. 3 warnings=temp ban. 2nd temp ban=permanent ban. Have those warnings have an expiration of a couple weeks and accidental leeching is not going to make a real player lose his account.
This would remove bots and leeches with an added bonus of maybe generating some extra revenue for the company as these people need to buy new accounts to keep getting their Xunlai keys every month at the same ratio.
Yes. I know. Pipe dream. I can dream can't I?

One can only wish that more leeches did this, why report a leech in the hope that they will earn dishonorable and be forced from the arena/competetive mission for a few minutes when you can report a macro abuser for botting and have their account taken away by the big mean GMs at Arenanet. More lols in a permaban, so do it, for the lulz.

I always report the bastards even if it means I get dishonor points. It's a matter of principle. That said, sometimes if I ask people very nicely to report and no one does, I will go and stand with the leechers for a few minutes and see if anyone notices. They usually don't.

No they don't. Ban the botters that is. The consistent presence of a certain Mes/Rt bot is testament to that.
They claim that they ban gold farming bots all the time but can't even be bothered to deal with a few well documented leech/botters. Why some bots are immune from the ban stick while others are not is beyond me. (lulz conspiracy theories)

Because I Gave Up on Guild Wars and found something new to play
Because Arena Net is not doing anything about synchers, leechers, and scammres, so why should we care? like i said, every one should start leeching on everyone else, turn the whole game into Leech, Sync and Scam wars :P see if I care, like i used to.
Theres a limit your players will tolerate. bye bye :P~ even your avid fans will leave if you don't do something about those irritating factors.
Yeap, yours not the only one that's beautiful and fun to play anymore, beside this other game has no scammer, no spammers no leechers and no synchers.
Arena Net should really be worry right about now. as someone who has blind faith in many things(games) has lost faith in a game they really love.
BTW its freeeeeee FREE! i don't even have to purchase the game

Been doing this with my G15 for hundreds of hours. (Probably because it still results in better gameplay performance than quite a few people.) If it was ban-worthy, I think it would have happened already. Sorry to rain on your parade
